A Cochon in Paris.

I'd like to post a few more picture that, to me, say a lot about the atmosphere of the French capital.
We have to remember that the French were relative new comers to the ideas of the industrial revolution and so typical French apartments built in the mid-19th century are full of hand-made details and fixtures, from hand cut window handles to the oak chevron plank floors, to cordoba leather paneling in some dark Victorian studies.
What's exciting, is to see modern French designers following the footsteps of their forebears with plasma-cut light fixtures and others wonders I'll will discuss further in future posts.
